BOSTON – An essential part of Boston’s dominant 23-1 regular season championship team, forward Mary Parker has signed to return to the Pride in 2020-21. Parker was third on the team in goals, with 15 in just 17 regular season games.

“Mary is a staple in our offensive unit and seems to only get better each season,” said Boston Pride President Hayley Moore. “Her two-way play, hockey sense, and knack for the net make her so much fun to watch. Her character and commitment to our fans and the community will be a great example for our rookies. We can't wait to see what Mary brings to the Pride in season 6!”

The 5-9 forward enjoyed a true breakout NWHL season in 2019-20. Parker was 15-9-24 in 17 games, and her 1.4 points-per-game average was third on the team behind Jillian Dempsey and McKenna Brand.

Parker was named NWHL Player of the Month in November, when she scored six goals and had a primary assist over three games as the Pride extended its undefeated streak to start the season at 10-0-0. The Milton, Mass. native scored a hat trick in a victory over the Connecticut Whale on Nov. 23.

“I’m incredibly excited to have signed with the Boston Pride for another season in the NWHL,” said Parker, 26. “It’s an honor to play for a first-class organization under tremendous leadership and at Warrior in front of the best fans. Playing for Boston has been a remarkable experience and I’m really looking forward to another great year. I can’t wait to get the season started and compete for the Isobel Cup!”

Parker first joined the Pride in 2017 after an amazing season at Boston University, when she had a Hockey East-leading 24 goals and 21 assists for 45 points in 36 games. Before BU, she played four seasons at Harvard between 2012 -2016 and was 43-48-91 in 104 games.
