Moore has played a critical role in the development of the NWHL over the past five years. She started her NWHL journey as the general manager of the Isobel Cup winning Boston Pride team during the inaugural season of the NWHL. She also helped led the Isobel Cup finals a year later. In her two years as the team’s general manager, the Pride had an incredible 30-4-1 record. Since her time serving as the general manager of the Pride, Moore has acted as the NWHL’s Deputy Commissioner and director of player development.  In this role, Moore has overseen seasons of significant growth and has helped with areas including, but not limited to, staff appointments, player development, and contract signings.

Moore played college hockey at Brown University where she recorded 133 points in 123 games. After college she played for the Boston Blades of the CWHL coached at Harvard University as an assistant. She has also been the director of women’s and girls’ hockey over the past six years for the East Coast Wizards, a Boston-based club hockey team. Moore is honored to rejoin the Pride as the third president of a major professional hockey team in the United States.

Karilyn Pilch

General Manager

Pilch started her college hockey career by playing in goal for Boston University. She eventually transitioned to coaching as she served as an assistant coach for Saint Anselem College for seven seasons. After her tenure at Saint Anselem, Pilch went back to her alma mater, BU, as the team’s director of hockey operations. In this role, Pilch was responsible for player communication, video operations, and the team schedule and travel. Additionally, Pilch has worked for USA Hockey as a District Coach and Evaluator since 2011.

Paul Mara

Head Coach

Before getting into coaching, Mara had a long career in the NHL. A seventh overall draft pick in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Mara played in 734 NHL games and produced 253 points with a total of six franchises. During the 2005-06 season, Mara led all defensemen on the Phoenix Coyotes with a career high 47 points. Additionally, Mara played in three IIHF World Junior Championships from 1997-1999 and won a bronze medal with TEAM USA during the 200 IIHF Men’s World Championship.

Mara’s coaching career includes serving as the assistant coach of the USA National Women’s Team since 2016. In 2018, he helped guide Team USA to an Olympic Gold Medal. This is Mara’s second season as the head coach of the Boston Pride. Last year, in his first season, the Pride finished the regular season with a 16-11-5 record and a third place finish before losing in the semifinals of the Isobel Cup playoffs under his leadership.
